Prostate-Specific Antigen tests can also be used to identify other prostate gland problems, including inflammation and enlargement of the prostate. Prostate cancer is usually treated through radiation, surgery, chemotherapy, and hormone therapy. These treatments make the amounts of protein-specific Antigens circulating in the bloodstream significantly.
