Online learning is flexible in that you can participate and work on assignments at any hour convenient to you. However, your online courses will have specific due dates each week for participating in Discussions and for submitting written assignments.
Saving your assignment as a word-processed document on your computer and on a disk will ensure you have the information safely stored should you be unexpectedly timed out of your classroom. When you return to the classroom, you will be able to submit your assignment by copying and pasting it to the Discussion.
You will have access to any of your online courses (excluding this Student Readiness Orientation) until 60 days after the course end date. It is therefore important to keep copies of your work, as well as any resources from the online classroom that you would like to save.
While it is acceptable to turn to Wikipedia to get background information on a topic, Wikipedia is no replacement for a scholarly resource, such as a peer-reviewed journal article. Students should avoid referencing Wikipedia in their assignments, unless specifically directed by the Instructor to do so.
