I would like to choose my topic on administering blood products to a Jehovah witness
My hypothetical patient scenario is a woman in her late 30’s with a husband and two children. She is being seen in the hospital for a gastrointestinal bleed. She is a Jehovah’s witness and the doctor is ordering 2 units of packed red blood cells. Her current hemoglobin level is 7.6 and she is refusing the 2 units of packed red blood cells. The MD is notified by the patient’s nurse.
I am looking forward to this assignment and doing research regarding administering blood products to Jehovah’s witness.
